LORI FOLEY, CGA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
An LA Group veteran, Lori Foley brings more than 35 years’ experience stewarding a wide range of companies in diverse industry sectors to financial success.
Working full-time at chartered accounting firms while earning her CGA designation, Lori has directed cash flow, financial processes, auditing, reporting and filing requirements for professional services, retail, resource extraction, heavy equipment and construction operations.
Taking companies to the next level is Lori’s specialty. Managing margins and growth as clients flourish, staff numbers multiply, technology and reporting needs advance and office premises expand has become the hallmark of Lori’s expertise for local, national and internationally headquartered organizations.
Lori keeps a firm hand on the diverse residential, commercial and consulting portfolios that drive LA Group’s success—tracking daily operations, applying lean financial solutions and providing the company’s leadership team with the financial flexibility and maneuverability to take on the next big thing.
Lori successfully completed the Lean Service Simulation – White Belt Program offered by Fujitsu Consulting Canada, Lean Agility Inc., and the Centre for Executive Leadership at the Telfer School of Management this past October 2014.
The Rewards of Doing Good Business
Lori is perpetually moved by the stories staff bring as owners take possession of new builds and first-time home-owners revel in new experiences like the convenience and specialness of a private entrance that comes with pride of ownership.
Lori’s favourite costs to review? The ones that reveal that Gilles Brisebois, the company’s president, CEO and founder has treated his construction office staff and/or crew to another home-made BBQ with all the personal touches—Gilles plans, prepares, cooks, shares and treasures these spontaneous team building meals.
Committed to Her Community
A former Board Member and Treasurer for the Kemptville Youth Centre, Lori has continued her involvement with the Centre as part of her commitment with LA Group. Lori devoted two years as a volunteer member of the Minto Skating Club Board, forming part of the team responsible for creating and managing this home-away-from home for community and competitive skaters and their coaches.
Lori’s other extracurricular activities include managing her son’s hockey team and taking back the reins of her horse-back riding passion ignited as a teen.
And Lori’s favourite managing growth activity? Her expanding family. Lori is the proud mom of five and is the youngest looking grandmother ever.
